Clinical consultancy
Senior emergency medicine input on product strategy, clinical workflow and unmet needs, from early concept through to market.
Consultant in Emergency Medicine · Point-of-care ultrasound
Senior emergency physician, ultrasound educator and clinical leader. I help ultrasound and medical technology companies build products that work at the bedside, drawing on more than 20 years of frontline practice across the NHS and Europe.
I am a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Darent Valley Hospital, part of Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, where I am the department's Audit Lead and Ultrasound Lead and supervise FAMUS ultrasound training for junior doctors. I am also Clinical Director for Urgent and Emergency Care and Flow at NHS Kent and Medway.
I trained in medicine in Slovakia and began practising emergency medicine, anaesthetics and intensive care there before moving to the UK in 2007. Since then I have worked continuously in the NHS, including major trauma at King's College Hospital and eight years at the Whittington, where I led same day emergency care work that cut avoidable admissions by around 30 percent.
Point-of-care ultrasound runs through all of it. I sit on the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM) Ultrasound Committee and its Emergency Ultrasound Curriculum Task Force, and co-authored the EUSEM Core Compendium of the Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Curriculum (Ultraschall in der Medizin, 2026). I teach eFAST, cardiac and vascular ultrasound in the UK, Europe, Egypt and the UAE.
For industry partners, that means a clinician who uses ultrasound under pressure every week, who trains others to use it, and who helps set the European standards that define competence.
